A sea temple perched on a rock island, silhouetted against Bali's sunsets.
Pura Tanah Lot sits on a rock formation off Bali's west coast. At high tide it becomes an island, and at low tide pilgrims walk across to receive holy water.
It is one of the sea temples said to have been founded by the 16th-century priest Dang Hyang Nirartha to guard Bali's coast.
