Three small coral-fringed islands off Lombok where there are no cars, only bicycles and horse carts.
Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air lie just off Lombok's north-west coast. Motor vehicles are not used on the islands; people walk, cycle or take a horse cart.
The water is clear and shallow, and sea turtles are commonly seen while snorkelling. Each island has its own pace, from lively Trawangan to quiet Meno.
